Bruce Presents: New Discoveries in Paleontology Unearthing Developments in the Field

Thursday, October 20, 2022 — 6:00pm - 7:00pm

Recent advances in the field of paleontology have resulted in the discovery of never-before-seen species. From the study of bones, fossils, amber, and even fossilized excrement, today's paleontologists are still identifying new species that roamed the earth millions of years ago. The Bruce Museum’s very own Curator of Science, Dr. Daniel Ksepka, and Curatorial Associate, Kate Dzikiewicz, are just two of the scientists who are adding to our knowledge of the species that came before us. And they have a big announcement to share! Join Dan and Kate as they discuss with moderator, Leonard Jacobs, a new discovery that sat unstudied for nearly a century, other species they've identified in their careers, and what developments in the field lie ahead.
